Getting started
Five recipes covering the most common day-one tasks. Each one is a few clicks inside the app — there's no manual to read.
1. Log your first NCR
An NCR (Non-Conformance Report) records anything that didn't meet specification — a defect, a process slip, a documentation miss.
- Sidebar → NCRs → + New NCR.
- Pick a severity (Minor / Major / Critical — the form explains the difference inline).
- Describe the issue in 1–2 sentences. The system generates the
NCR code (e.g.
NCR-MFG0004-2026-001) automatically. - Save. The NCR enters Submitted status; the responsible Quality Manager is notified by email + in-app.
Sign in to try it.
2. Add a supplier
- Sidebar → Suppliers → Quick Create.
- Enter the company name + contact email. Country, risk level, and payment terms are optional and can be filled later.
- Save. A supplier code (e.g.
MFG-0042) is generated; the supplier appears in the list. - Open the supplier detail page to add contacts, certifications, and documents — all via the same quick-create modal.
3. Approve a CAPA
A CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) is the response to a problem — typically triggered by an NCR, an audit finding, or a customer complaint. CAPAs travel through Draft → Investigation → Action Plan → Effectiveness Review.
- Sidebar → CAPA. Open one in Action Plan status.
- Read the root-cause analysis and the proposed action.
- Click Approve to move the CAPA into the effectiveness review window (default 30 days).
4. Run an audit
- Sidebar → Audits → + New audit.
- Pick the audit type (internal / supplier / customer / external) and the standard (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, …).
- Add checklist items, or attach a saved template. On the day, walk the audit on a phone — the mobile checklist auto-saves each result.
- Findings logged during the audit auto-spawn NCRs you can route straight into a CAPA.
5. Stuck? Get help.
Two places to look first:
- The form itself. Most fields show a short helper line below the input explaining what to put in.
- The standards reference in the Help Center — ISO 9001, PPAP, 8D, ECO, electronic signatures, etc.
